Orthoresults.com welcomes all professionals worldwide to share their achievements in orthognathic surgery, orthodontic treatment and plastic surgery. Please note, that currently the website solely supports submission of cases in orthognathic surgery. Is it publishable?
Eligible types of cases are distal bite, mesial bite, open bite, deep bite, cross bite, scissor bite, vertical asymmetry, horizontal asymmetry, gummy smile, high facial angle.
Minimum requirements for each case include at least two time points of the case (before and after), 10 illustrative photos at each time point for all cases and 11 illustrative photos at each time point in case of asymmetry.
If the requirements are not met, the case unfortunately can not be published. In order to ensure that case eligibility criteria are met, submitted cases are published upon approval by professional reviewers.

Do I need my patient's consent?
Yes, as you assume full responsibility for the submitted material you must obtain the patient's consent first. The content for patient's consent varies according to the legislation system in a particular country and you may consider consulting your lawyer. For initial guidance, a template can be used for reference.
